The wall sconces are from a yard sale. I bought the door poster from Amazon. I found the brass eagle door knocker on FB Marketplace but it was in Knoxville. I begged her to ship it to me and she finally gave in. You can't have a Ravenclaw common room without a brass eagle door knocker!
The ceiling is a star field fabric backdrop I bought from Amazon. I used fabric starch to adhere it to the ceiling and added wood molding to make it look like a window then painted the ceiling fan to match.
The curio shelf is full of little things that Ellery has collected over the years. She made the little wood puzzle niffler herself. The envelopes in the back are from the 2011 Harry Potter Celebration at Universal Studios. I made the Hand of Glory out of a plastic skeleton hand from Halloween. I decoupaged tissue paper onto it like creepy skin. I still need to find a plaque for it. Our local bakery had a HP day, it included a raffle drawing and we won the crate of Quidditch balls. I gutted the antique Victrola case (it was free from a guy on FBM) and refinished it. Ellery stores her art supplies in it. The basket on top (Goodwill) is full of boxes I saved from our Honeydukes treats. This is not all of them...it's all I could fit into the basket! The bookcase walls are also starched photo backdrops from Amazon. The metal decor above the books are old Home Interior wall decor pieces from a yard sale.
